During the third Ordinary Session of the University Committee on Care and Solidarity Relations of the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ), 15 new members were sworn in as part of the organization, whose main objective is to mainstream the care perspective, in the broadest sense of social inclusion, in all areas and departments of the Institution.

The award ceremony took place in the Fernando Díaz Ramírez Auditorium, where the Rector of the UAQ, Dr. Silvia Lorena Amaya Llano, thanked the members of this Committee - attached to the Care Network - for their dedication to strengthening collaborative work dynamics in terms of a culture of peace within this House of Studies.

The community of the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ) participated actively, transparently and democratically on the electoral day of this May 28, during the election of the persons in charge of the directorates of the School of Bachelors and the 13 faculties of the Institution, for the period 2024-2027. At the closing of the polls, 18,048 students and teachers of this House of Studies voted, without major incidents.
 
The Academic Secretary and Secretary of the Special Commission of the H. University Council for this exercise, Dr. Rolando Javier Salinas García, highlighted that the  Alma Mater  of Querétaro has distinguished itself - at all times - by having these processes of auscultation for those who lead the management positions in the School of Bachelors and the faculties, without impositions or assignments, putting to the consideration of their communities the projects they want for their spaces.

El Programa Universitario de Derechos Humanos (UniDHos) de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) impartió la plática informativa “Derechos Políticos UAQ” a la comunidad estudiantil con el fin de dar difusión a los aspectos fundamentales de los derechos políticos de estudiantes y docentes. 

Este espacio se abrió en el contexto del proceso para la elección de titulares de las direcciones de las distintas facultades y Escuela de Bachilleres, para el periodo 2024-2027. En este sentido, se les invita a participar en las elecciones internas, que tendrán lugar este martes 28 de mayo, a partir de las 08:00 horas.

La Dirección de Investigación y Posgrado de la Facultad de Ingeniería (FI) de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) recibió la visita de estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Sistemas Computacionales del Instituto Tecnológico de la Montaña (TecNM), del estado de Guerrero, con el objetivo de generar interés a las y los futuros egresados en la oferta académica de la UAQ.

Las personas asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de dialogar con docentes de tres programas de posgrado que ofrece la FI de la Máxima Casa de Estudios de la entidad: la Maestría en Ciencias en Inteligencia Artificial; la Maestría en Ciencias en Control y Sistemas Embebidos; y la Maestría en Ciencias en Mecatrónica.

La Facultad de Informática de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) abrió un espacio dedicado a la práctica de los e-sports o deportes electrónicos, que consisten en competencias de videojuegos; el área alojará a las selecciones representativas de esta Casa de Estudios y podrá ser utilizado por la comunidad estudiantil.

Entre los propósitos de esta nueva zona está el motivar la formación de equipos para contender en las ligas profesionales que se organizan a nivel nacional, justas como “Rocket League”, “League of Legends”, “Valorant” y “FIFA”. En nuestro país, instituciones de educación superior como la Universidad Anáhuac, el Tec de Monterrey, la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y el Instituto Politécnico Nacional poseen equipos representativos dentro de este campo.
